This summer, the Men Under 23 Road Race and Women Elite (including Women Under 23) Road Race will start from Balloch on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 August. Road | 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships (cyclingworldchamps.com)

The races will start in Balloch, before heading towards Drymen, Balfron and Fintry, with riders also crossing the line in Glasgow city centre. Road closures will be in operation at the race starts in Balloch. Following the start, a rolling road closure will be in operation across the event route. This means roads on and around the route will be closed for the short period in which it takes the race to pass by – usually around 15 minutes before the estimated time of arrival until approximately 10 minutes after the last rider has passed. Closures are indicated by police escort vehicles and will last around 30 minutes in total.

Cycling World Championships Ltd, in partnership with local authorities, are inviting members of the public to attend drop-in sessions to find out more about the impact. These will take place in the coming weeks along the road race routes.
